One of the things I love most about Bali is the amount of amazing cafes that offer vegan/vegetarian food. This is the second time I have visited and I definitely made the most of eating my way through the cafes in Seminyak.
Some of my top picks are:
I had the smashed avo without the feta, Im not sure if it was because I hadn’t had avocado in a week or that I was slightly hungover, but my god it was one of the greatest smashed avos I’ve had. I also had it with a Vitamin Booster juice because I thought that would help counteract the alcohol consumed from the night before, I don’t think it works like that though..
- Sea circus
This is definitely one of my favourite cafes in Seminyak. It’s so funky, and the amazing artwork on the outside is just screaming for an Instagram photo. I had the nourish bowl, a choc fudge smoothie and a wheatgrass shot. It was delicious and nutritious! There are so many yummy options on their menu, I could have gone back every day.
- Nalu Bowl/Shelter Cafe
We were staying down the road from the Shelter café so visited there frequently and yet I never managed to take a photo (the one below is from when I visited a few years back). Nalu Bowls is underneath Shelter café but you can order from both and sit upstairs in their outdoor oasis. I had the Teahupoo bowl, which is their green bowl, it has a pretty big ginger kick so only order this if you’re a fan of ginger. No matter which one you get, its bound to be yummy and refresh you from the humid weather.
Shelter café offers an array of foods, and is good if you’re after something a bit heartier. From memory I had the smashed avo again, I really should explore my food options more, but they are just so bloody good.
- Kynd Community
Kynd Community was a new discovery that I hadn’t heard of until I was in Bali. All their food and drinks are plant based which is freaking awesome! This is also an Instagramers paradise with the pale pink wall and greenery. I had a detox juice with the choc crunch bowl. It really was like a chocolate milkshake only crunchy, I mean what else could you ask for?
- Mad Pops
Now this technically isn’t a café, or a shop really, its basically just an ice cream stand but I had to give it a mention. Who doesn’t love ice cream and even better when its vegan! Its perfect for when your walking the streets, maybe doing a little shopping and need a refreshing pick me up. I got the chocolate and mint, if you know me personally, you know I’m addicted to mint and chocolate and the combination of the two is a party in my mouth.
- Café Organic
This is an all vegetarian café which is one of my top picks. I couldn’t make up my mind if I wanted sweet or savoury, so I got both. Sometimes you’ve just got to treat yourself. I had the Earth bowl and the Africka bowl, I don’t know why, but I love eating things out of bowls.
- Divine Earth
This is another completely Vegan restaurant and has so many good options.
I got dinner from here a couple of times, as we were staying right near it. I had the Tri Color Pepper Pizza and the Brown Rice Mushroom. Both delicious, but the pizza was definitely the winner.
*This photo isn't mine, it is from their Instagram. I was clearly too hungry to take a photo before hand.
I hope this little blog can come in handy if you plan on traveling to Bali soon.
Now all I can think about is food so I’m going to go eat.
